Professionally produced odor medicines are preferable as some of the remedies that people talk about have never been tried or tested in a foolproof way.

How to Rid the Cat Odor

The first task is spotting where the urine stains are located in your home. One method of going about this is the utilization of a black light. A black light is great at revealing the spots created by the cat urine as it glows in black light. A simpler method open to everyone, is simply rolling back the carpet on all edges by a few inches. This reveals much of the cat urine and the quantities of urine that a cat releases is directly related to its age. Larger cats will produce larger quantities of urine, which are capable of reaching the carpet pad. If your cat is just a small kitten then there is no need to roll back the carpet.

Cats will always deposit their urine a few feet from the walls. As time progresses, you will be able to know your cat’s favorite spots, making it easy to target them in the future when eliminating the odor.  Proceed to apply the odor medicine as instructed to rid the odor. Home remedies offer temporary relief, whereas some solutions will totally ruin your carpet.
